The Ultimate Day in Albuquerque for the Foodie
Visit Albuquerque spoke with Lauren Greene who, along with her husband Jason Greene, own The Grove Cafe & Market, a farm-to-table hub in EDo. Here, Lauren shares her The Ultimate Day in Albuquerque for the Foodie.
"Albuquerque has such a mix of delicious food, which makes it really hard to choose how we would spend our foodie day! Below are a just a few of my favorite local foodie happenings!"
Early Morning at the Downtown Growers' Market
“Start the day out by heading to the Downtown Growers' Market, which has an incredible season from spring to fall. First, head to Burque Bakehouse, and wait in line for their most amazing pastries. While perusing the market, stop by to see Silverleaf Farms, Vida Verde Farms, and so many other local growers, and purchase beautiful local produce. Stop by Heidi's Raspberry Farm to sample their homemade ice cream and pick up a jar of their awesome Heidi's Jam.”
Lunch at Vinaigrette
Or Lunch at Farina Pizzeria
"Once it's early happy hour, stop in to Marble Brewery for a Double White on the patio. At Marble, you can enjoy an eclectic local scene, sample local food trucks like Don Choche, and perhaps catch a band on the patio.
Continue Happy Hour with Cocktails
"If a cocktail is what you are after, Still Spirits or The Copper Lounge are seriously upping our local cocktail scene."
Sunset Dinner at Campo at Los Poblanos
"As the sun begins to go down and you've cleaned up for dinner, make sure you've made a reservation at Campo Restaurant at Los Poblanos, led by Jonathan Perno. Campo serves 'Rio Grande Valley Cuisine' with a true farm to table experience, and an excellent wine and bubbles list. You can eat as you enjoy the spectacular views of the Sandia Mountains among Los Poblanos' lavender fields. I'd say that's a day well fed!"
