Missy on Bow & Arrow’s Neighborhood

“Bow & Arrow Brewing is located in the Wells Park, near Downtown. We’re in a mixed industrial-residential neighborhood, so we have a lot of industrial buildings that have been repurposed. You still have a lot of the historical warehouses, and mixed architecture, with pockets of neighborhoods that have been revitalized. We get a lot of traffic from the college, and young families are moving in now more than ever. With that, of course, you have a lot of pop-up shops and coffee shops coming into the area, too, like Prismatic Coffee.”

Missy’s Take on Entrepreneurship in Albuquerque

“We've been at this for about a year and half. In terms of lessons learned, I think one of the things that's been most important to us is really having a sense of community. Whatever that means for your business, whether you're established in a local community or you're in a community of people across the nation working for an ideal, having that sense of community will really help you through the ups and downs of opening a business. Because, with that, you have a lot of support and you have a lot of mentorship. We've been super blessed with that here in New Mexico, and that's one thing not to lose sight of.”
